Two Icelandic tourists were killed when their parachutes failed to open at a popular skydive park in Pasco County, Florida.
The two were experienced divers diving in a group jump with 20 other people. The two victims had undertaken two dives earlier that morning.
Authorities and the co-owners of Skydive City in Zephyrhills, about 30 miles northeast of Tampa, believe the men’s primary parachutes were not deployed at all and that secondary emergency parachutes were not deployed in time to save them.
An investigation has been opened to find the cause of the fatal accident.
