Sometimes, a BASE jump is worth waiting for. In this case, planning started in 2012 and it wasn’t until the 17th April 2015 that this amazing, massive, remote cliff was finally jumped. It is thought to be the most remote BASE jump in the UK being 20 miles west of Shetland. Finding the right combination of jumpers, weather, available boat to charter and support crew are what made this jump possible. Even if you are not a BASE jumper, I thoroughly recommend the Shetland islands as a place to visit for a holiday with a difference.

Jumpers: Simon Brentford and Darren Strafford

Support: Richard & Jim Scott – RS Boat Charters, Mark Duncan & Cally Mair, and all the others who gave advice and assistance.
