Tilstock - The Parachute Centre

Based at Tilstock Airfield and the home of Manchester Skydivers in 1964 and Manchester Freefall Club in 1967. The Parachute Centre can give you the experience of a life time sky diving event or guide you through the system to qualify as a skydiver.

Located in Whitchurch, North Shropshire. We are the closest Parachuting or Skydiving Facility to the West Midlands, Wolverhampton, Birmingham, North and Central Wales, going to the North West of England to Merseyside, Wirral, Liverpool and Manchester and east to Stoke on Trent and Derby.

Tandem Skydives

After a short brief, enjoy the flight in our aircraft to 10 thousand feet, checking out the views on the way up before sliding to the edge of the door attached to one of our Tandem Instructors. You freefall for 25-30 seconds before the parachute opens at about 5000 feet above the ground. Enjoy the cruise down to the landing area opposite the club house.

Static Line

If you want to be in control of the parachute and jump out of our aircraft from over 3 thousand feet, steering the parachute down by yourself, maybe this for you. After a days tuition you will be ready to jump on your own.

AFF

We do not run Accelerated FreeFall courses here due to the British weather conditions and our operational limitations, our preferred  method of progressing to freefall is the Static Line Parachute Training Course. It can work out a lot cheaper too. With AFF to qualify you have to complete the couse of 8 jumps plus 10 consolidation jumps.

Experienced Jumpers

Experienced Jumpers are most welcome.

We have a G8 Airvan which can take up to 8 skydives.

Monday 9:00 - 21:00 or when it gets dark. (Bank Holidays only)

Make Sure you have your BPA docs with you and your log book.

Membership of the club £25 entitles you to jump at Skydive Airkix at a discouted rate.

Location

The Parachute Centre location is at Tilstock Airfield (not Tilstock village) and the entrance is on the A41, 3 miles south of Whitchurch, Shropshire. The Dropzone is less than an hour from Birmingham, Stoke on Trent, Wrexham,Chester (Cheshire), Manchester, Wirral, Merseyside, Liverpool, The Black Country, West Midlands and most of North and Mid Wales. In fact we are the only parachuting facility within nearly one hundred miles!

Must be B licence to jump the Saffires, also weight limits on all kit.

Experienced High Lift - £18 or £180 for 11 jumps (£16.40 per jump). Tickets are transferrable and have unlimited lifespan.

Kit Hire Available (cost and range) - £14 per jump (£4 back if you are signed off to pack and pack it). Range includes SL, Ripcord and BOC throwaway student rigs.
