Well this little escapade started with three of us meeting up in Heathrow for a flight to Madrid on BA , boarded the plane and took of for a sunnier climate . We landed and trotted off to hire a car along with Satnav , everything going swimmingly . This being about 7pm and it being rush-hour in Espania , things were starting to a little off track at this point , but nothing too bad ! The Satnav then proceeded to take us through the centre of the city after a little wrong turn . It being , as already stated - RUSH-HOUR , it rapidly turned into a highly stressful occasion for the driver (not me) , with me in the passenger seat giggling like a little school kid .

Eventually we got to Aranjuez , about 15 mins from dropzone , but the nearest bit of civilization and booked into a hotel . Got quite a deal on a treble room  and went for a much deserved quoffe . Early night and headed off to the DZ first thing in the morning . We got to the DZ with NO real mishaps , booked in complete wih docs and BPA membership . Well, all but one of us . He had left all his paperwork in his suitcase in the hotel room , so the fun starts !!!  Myself and Joe manifested and were on the first lift . With 6 mins to go they put a 100 jump limit on the lift and this then put me firmly on the ground, but didn't stop Joe from getting his knees to the breeze . The clouds came in and the winds got strong enough that we are sure we saw a seagull lay the same egg twice . That was day uno on the DZ , and arrangements were made to meet up for a few drinks in a littlle pub called "The Dubliner" , which happened to be right next door to our hotel . A FEW QUIET BEERS WERE HAD BY ALL !!

Day two and bright and early to the DZ only to find out that the winds were stronger than the previous day , with this in mind we proceeded to have breakfast , purchase T-shirts , gifts and guzzle numerous cups of coffee, with that being a washout as well we headed off to the hotel and have a little siesta , recharge the batteries for the evenings antics , so to speak .  With all meeting again in "The Dubliner" for a couple of quiet ones prior to heading off for an Indian , this was probably the best meal that we had the whole time we were there . From here we headed off to a few pubs , A good night !!!!

So it being our last day we had plans of going off to the airport and ensure that we are in plenty of time , we went outside complete with cases to where the car had been parked from the afternoon before and as if by magic , it was GONE ? On the pavement was a little business card from a tow truck . We went back to the hotel and asked for some assistance , much to the amusement of the Spanish lady behind the desk . We then had to head off to the POLICIA and enquire where they had placed our car . We were pointed in the right direction and so we headed off in a taxi and arrived about 15 mins later , only to find out that it was unmanned on a Sunday . This in turn amassed to another 45 min wait while the man on the end of the phone drove out to the pound to free our little hire car from the evil clutches of the POLICIA .

Having freed the vehicle and loaded all the cases in to the car we headed off for the airport at Mach3 , arriving with 15 mins to go till take off at the BA desk , only to be told we were TOO late for our flight , so to the help desk only to be told that we could get on another flight but it would cost 925 euros (EACH), the answer to this was an loud NO . We then headed off to the cheaper airlines only to be told that there were no flights that day and it became apparent that the only flights available were at 5;15 the following evening and so it was we headed off to look for a hotel for the evening . This done , an evening meal was in order and most def. an early night . We were at the airport by midday the following day . We hung around the airport like squatters drinking coffee, eating and people watching till the time had come for us to head off to the gate to board , but to our dismay it was delayed for an hour , so we waited , nothing new really . 60 mins later we booked in and headed off through the gate for the aircraft , only to see the plane door was closed , this then prompted an official to call us back into the departure lounge as the staff were over their hours and couldn't legally man the flight back to UK , another 3 hour delay . Easyjet flew another crew from Liverpool to man this flight and eventually we were in the air some 4 and a half hours later . When we landed at Gatwick the look of relief on our three faces was enormous .

As was said whilst waiting for our case near the conveyor belt , " If you were sat at home watching it on the tele it would have been HILARIOUS "
